The commercial face washes often strips away the natural oil called sebum from the skin. This makes the skin dry. To make the skin moisturized, and compensate for the loss of natural oil, skin consequently produces more oil. This excess oil clogs the pores causing blackheads and acne. Using oil-based cleanser removes only the excess oil along with impurities and dirt from the skin. It does not make your skin dry. Besides, olive oil suits for all skin types, whereas, liquid castile soap is suitable for sensitive skin. Let us make DIY oil cleanser at home with the ingredients glycerin, olive oil, castile soap which keeps your skin glowing and moist.
Take two tablespoons of olive oil and two tablespoons of castile soap in a mixing bowl and mix them. Add 1 tablespoon of glycerin and 1 tablespoon of water to it. Mix all the ingredients well and pour it in a clean empty bottle by using a small funnel. Close the bottle and shake it until all the ingredients are well mixed. You can store this maximum for a year. Spritz a small amount of oil cleanser to your face and neck. Massage it gently for 5 minutes. After 5 minutes wipe it off with a wet cloth which is dipped in warm water. Or you can simply wash your face with warm water.
